As Women’s History Month continues, we take this opportunity during Catholic Sisters Week to recognize the dedication of religious women who have devoted their lives to faith and service. Sister Carolyn O'Hara, OCD, Treasurer of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns at Carmel of the Incarnation in Beacon, New York, is one such devoted woman. Growing up with a carefully planned future, Sister Carolyn’s life took a transformative turn when she felt God’s invitation to a deeper relationship. Her journey led her to embrace a life of prayer and community within the Carmelite Order, where she has spent over fifty years finding fulfillment in solitude, prayer, and companionship with fellow Carmelites. Her role as treasurer is vital to sustaining this mission, and her dedication continues to inspire all who encounter her. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with someone so devoted to her faith and community. May God continue to bless Sister Carolyn and all the Sisters of her community.
