Mark Kimzey to Speak at TOI Membership Call on Township Consolidation
On March 4, 2025, Mark Kimzey, will present at the Township Officials of Illinois (TOI) Membership Call, offering critical legal insights on Governor Pritzker’s FY2026 State Budget Initiative on Township Consolidation and the related legislation introduced in February, Senate Bill 2504. His presentation will provide township officials and staff with a straightforward explanation of state laws governing “electioneering” and “prohibited political activity,” with a focus on what they can and cannot do in opposing these initiatives and future referendum questions if the initiatives are successful.
